It was a nice and sunny day today in Melbourne, so we thought we’d take in the sun by taking a walk in the city and finishing it off with a late lunch on Southbank. We went downtown to the Rialto Observation Deck. It was amazing – the view over Melbourne from the air was fantastic. For $AUD13.50 you take a 10 second ride up 250 metres. That ticket that you buy is valid for one whole day – so you can come in the day when it is nice and sunny and you can come back again in the evening to watch the sun set over Melbourne. There is also a cafeteria up there so you can grab a bite to eat. This has to be one my favourite attractions. I’ve attached one picture to this post, but approx. 30 others can be seen in the gallery.
