Fais-moi mal, Johnny. Such is the title of the cabaret show we saw on Saturday night. The venue was the Butterfly Club (with its very kitsch decoration) in South Melbourne and that in itself is worth a visit.
Fais-moi mal Johnny was interpreted by Fiona Thorn and she was accompanied by the John Thorn String Ensemble (although the violinist was excused).
The show is a succession of classical French songs (sung in French I mean) and comments relating to the memoirs of an Aussie girl in studying in Paris (Fiona Thorn). I found to the show to be well interpreted, at times dramatic and generally speaking quite entertaining and very witty.
