[...] Following on my last post for which I got some encouraging comments and suggestions I thought I’d try to make the tabbed navigation better. I’ll let you be the judge of that. This evolution still uses the script.aculo.us javascript libraries. You can download them here. Once you have done that you can copy the ‘src’ and ‘lib’ directories into your working directory.
Pascal,

Yeah, experimenting is most of the fun, hehe. I think grey would go but I like the idea of having a non-grey colour at the bottom. Have you tried matching the header coulors a bit, maybe a lightish brown? I like having two base coulours and variations on them, but that's me, hehe.

Been too busy to play with code lately but hopefully I'll get a chance to mess with things soon. Very neat ajaxified version and good call Kirk.

Thanks for the comments.

@maxpower: Thanks for checking that it works on your setup. Yes I'm aware of the 'back' button issue - I noticed that too. But you know I'm already thinking of the next version (I'll give you a hint ..AJAX). That should solve the 'back' button isssue.

@Ja: Thanks for the comment on the site and you know I've been experimenting with the green colour. It was grey before which probably blends better with the general feel of the site...I'll keep on experimenting.

Very nice - simple, functional, and it looks fairly clean to me given the once over. Excellent follow-up on Kirk's how-to. I'll be testing it out for myself later and report back with any commentary along with examples of a couple ideas this has given me to modify things I use (if they work nicely).

My feedback for now though: Gorgeous blog you have here! Seriously. The only thing that holds it back in my opinion is what's become the extremely blog-cliche green color used in the bottom navigation on the front page.

And kudos to you (as well as Patrick) for sharing useful content without advertisements plastered all over the blog. It's sadly not something seen much anymore.

Hey, nice work man. It looks slick, and I can verfiy that it works in FF 1.5 on XP. My only caveat would be that clicking on the tabs breaks the browsers back button. So if I come to a page with some tabs on it, click them and decide to go back, I go to the previous tab, not the previous page. Is there anyway to get around this?

Cheers
