Weekend in Dinner Plain

Posted on June 26, 2006 | Category: Travels

Contrary to popular beliefs, it does snow in Australia. This weekend we were able to experience this first hand. Rob and Deniz invited us to celebrate with them and a bunch of friends Rob’s birthday. The celebration took place in the ski resort of Dinner Plain in the state of Victoria. It is geographically situated to the North East of Melbourne and 400kms door to door from St Kilda. It was a short but highly enjoyable weekend – we got to see friends we hadn’t seen in quite some time but also meet great new people. You can check out the pictures from the weekend in the picture gallery.

[...] Even though it looks nothing like the Alps we know, the scenery was lovely and the weekend worthwhile, as we spent it with Deniz & gang celebrating Rob’s birthday. We had a really excellent time in Dinner Plain, as Pascal puts it on his homepage http://www.renet-web.net/2006/06/26/weekend-in-dinner-plain/ [...]
