Arriba Francia !

france
Considering France’s debut in this world cup, I never thought they’d go beyond the first round. Yet, the “squad of oldies” are still there. They thrashed Spain 3-1 last night. Cheer up Spain…it’s not that hard to put the cork back in that Champagne bottle! Next up is the match against Brasil – maybe we can renew that exploit of the 1998 world cup final.

This was a really, really great match to watch and I am glad France won. My only hangup about the whole match was Thierry Henry; about 10 minutes before the end of the game he was elbowed (possibly by accident, possibly on purpose) in the chest. However his first reaction was to go for his face in an attempt to make the foul look more vicious than it actually was. It is sad that football has to suffer from that poor element. As it happens that ‘dive’ led to France’s second goal. However, in his typical style Zidane scored a bloody brillent goal in the closing minutes. Fantastic match, but I’ll be very suprised if they beat Brazil. Good luck to em anyway :)

Too damn right Steve – there are a lot of part time actors playing. I just saw the Germany – Argentina match. All I can say is that there is a lot of \”Oscar\” and \”Emmy\” material in the football world. Some players I think have found their calling once their footbal career is over!

You only need to go through the forums on SDN to realise that there are people out there that actually write programs or develop LSMW’s to upload Planned Independent Requirements (PIR) into SAP. According to Wikipedia, “Rich Internet Applications are web applications that have most of the characteristics of desktop applications, typically delivered by way of standards based web browser plug-ins or independently via sandboxes or virtual machines”.
