Bastille Day weekend
Friday the 13th - that’s a bad start…Friday night, in very good company we went to French Corner, a French restaurant in Highett. Although the age gave it a good review, I can’t stop thinking that the reviewer and I did not go to the same restaurant. We had the “Bastille Day” menu. At 95$ per person (without wine) you would expect something close to memorable - I thought it was just above average. From the annoying waiter taking on an “allo allo” like accent (maybe we were supposed to get a dinner and a show) to the rather bland (plus no salt and pepper on the table to lift it up) and poorly presented food and to top it all a 10$ corckage fee. Thanks to Randy though we did not have to pay it.
Thanks to the company though, it was an enjoyable evening. We must do it again sometime - only this time we’ll go to a place like France-Soir or The Deck.

I hate those restaurants where they think:
good food = small amount + looks good + is expensive
I have to try some of the french restaurants in Sydney
